In the pivotal year of 2018, Jamal ascended to the role of Chief Officer Business Affairs at the Dubai Development Authority (DDA), where he became the architect of an environment that epitomizes business friendliness and excellence. His focus has always been on enriching the experiences of all stakeholders, including real estate developers and Dubai’s strategic partners. Leveraging his rich background with Fortune 500 companies, Jamal has been instrumental in implementing processes that enhance efficiency and consumer experience, integrating cutting-edge technology and reinforcing Dubai's position as a global powerhouse in the real estate sector.


Aside from his sterling contributions to DDA, Jamal also helms the prestigious position of Chairman at the Dubai Film and TV Commission (DFTC). Under his leadership, Dubai has been transformed into a global hub for media and technology. Jamal's visionary approach has propelled Dubai onto the world stage, attracting Hollywood and Bollywood's glittering productions to its shores. This initiative not only showcased Dubai’s top-notch production capabilities but also significantly boosted the local economy by attracting international productions, thereby contributing robustly to the city’s GDP.


As the driving force behind DFTC, Jamal collaborates closely with the Government of Dubai and private sectors to bolster Dubai's status as a prime location for media production. His efforts in developing enticing filming incentives, fostering the growth of local media talent, and promoting Dubai to filmmakers globally have distinguished the emirate as the world's only 'one-stop shop' for filmmaking permits.


Prior to his tenure at DFTC, Jamal played a pivotal role at Dubai Studio & Media City, where he oversaw the registration of over 1,500 business partners, including prestigious names such as MBC, Discovery, and YouTube. His early career milestones at Dubai Internet City (DIC) and involvement in major TECOM Business Park projects spotlight his exceptional skills in fund-raising, business development, and attracting foreign investment to the nation.


Jamal's academic credentials are equally impressive, holding a Master's in International Business Administration and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of San Diego, California. His journey reflects a commitment to excellence and innovation, making him a key figure in shaping Dubai's business landscape and media prominence on the global stage.
